Hodgdon/IMR 4227 powder for 45/70 loads. Hi everyone, I'm a new Marlin guide gun owner and wondering if anyone has had any experiance using 4227 powder. My bullet of choice is a 425 grain hard cast with gas check. I'm looking for some help with load data in achieving 1450 to 1600 feet per second with 4227.
